Our Story
The idea for Grow Your Game started in 2012. At the time, our Co-founder, Sean Clores, volunteered in Jamaica with Passionist Volunteers International. For two years, Clores coached basketball at Black River High School, competing against teams across Jamaica. He became friends with Damon Sullivan and Ronnie Simpson, who both have been influential basketball coaches in Jamaica for years. After returning to the United States in 2012, the three of them realized that there was opportunity to help grow the game of basketball in Jamaica. Many players want to improve their game, with some aspiring to play in college overseas. However, opportunities and resources are limited for these players. With that in mind, the inaugural Grow Your Game Camp took place in 2022 in Mandeville, Jamaica. Coaches from the United States and Jamaica came together to run this co-ed camp, which served campers from all across Central Jamaica. We are excited to for this year's camp as another opportunity for players and coaches to enjoy the game, learn the game, and grow the game. See you in August!

How Can You Help?
We rely entirely on donations, as camp is free for our players. Equipment, meals, and our coaching staff are all covered by donor support. At last year's camp, we were able to have 45 campers. Meals
Campers are travelling from different parts of Jamaica, some as far as two hours. Your donation allows us to provide meals, snacks, and drinks for our campers so they do not have to worry about any expenses while enjoying their experience at camp.
Coaches
One of the unique aspects of Grow Your Game is the collaboration of coaches from the United States and Jamaica. Coaches are volunteering their time to make this experience free for campers. Your donation helps us take care of the travel and lodging logistics for our coaching staff.
Equipment and Gear
Basketballs, gear, and other equipment are not only provided for the use of the camp. The items that we provide will be donated to local basketball programs and players to use throughout the year.
